“The Key to Greater Works”
John 14:8-14
1. What exactly is the promise of “greater works?”
a. Jesus was talking about _______________

2. If there is a promise in the Word of God intended for our benefit that is not being realized in our lives, there is something wrong, not with the promise, but with our end of the promise.
3. Verse 13 provides the key: The case of the missing “AND.”
4. The “greater works” are in answer to believing prayer!
5. Every major evangelistic thrust of the Gospel of Acts was preceded by a spirit of prevailing prayer.
6. Four principles of prayer:
a. “Whatever you ask” – The measure of our praying
b. “in my name” – The means of our praying
c. “this I will do” – The might of our praying
d. “that the Father may be glorified in the Son” – The motive of our praying
7. God’s reputation is enhanced and magnified by the greatness of our petitions.
